Proud Supporters of INAS

Here at Morrison Insurance Solutions, we are proud to be a supporter of INAS. INAS is an international charity that supports para-athletes with an intellectual disability (also known as a ‘learning disability’) worldwide. Formed in 1985 they have grown from a membership with 14 nations to now having 77.

Inas believe that intellectual disability should not be a barrier to enjoying and being the best in sport and that athletes with an intellectual disability across the World have the opportunity to achieve excellence in sport and high-level competition. Their activities are entirely funded by fundraising and contributions from their member nations and their huge volunteer workforce around the World as they do not qualify for state or sport lottery support.

As a supporter of Inas, it means that we provide a donation which supports the travelling costs of certain members of the Governing Board who promote the work of Inas and oversee the strategy and policy on behalf of the membership. The members on the Governing board that we support are not remunerated by Inas and therefore their traveling expense met by ourselves and similar businesses are crucial.

INAS make it possible for people with an intellectual disability to be able to compete at an international level. They open up the pathway to enable athletes like myself to compete on the international stage against the best ID athletes in the world. I have no doubt this has helped me become the paralympic athlete I am today. I also think it is very important to support everyone that supports you. Their work as a charity is massively important to athletes at every level.

Please join me in supporting them.
